We can dance if you want to....

Hello, my dearies!! Boredom and nostalgia have prompted me to update my blog. Since last we met, school ended with P-Conn giving my comrades and I whale watch passes and physics books, I filled out about twenty applications in an attempt to find yet another summer job and wound up at Honey Dew Donuts, Khaka visited, I saw BU and UConn, I cut my hair, the new Harry Potter book arrived, I dyed my hair, we believe our dear cat Daisy is a mother-to-be, and, as of today, I have now quit Honey Dew Donuts and will be done there next Sunday. This summer has been delightful. While I have experienced better, this one is certainly not one to complain about!!

Tonight, as on all other Saturday nights, 93.3 is having a "Totally 80's Saturday Night." As the distinct music of "Safety Dance" is playing, I am reminiscing on shower parties and all the other fun things at PCC. I am also remembering my 80's fetish, and wondering what happened to it. I think I'm going to bring it back, because I do indeed have the power to do so and terribly miss being 80's Crazy!

I must tell you about one of the most wonderful nights this summer has presented. I know that Darcy, Caragh, and Becca are already aware of this tale, but for the other one or two readers of my blog, I shall enlighten you. The four of us gals were heading on out to the mall sometime last week, and we had a dandy old time!! In addition to getting quite a bit of shopping done, Caragh and I received two beautiful Bettas as well as two things of fish food for the price of $4.00, simply because the fellow working there was a nice lad! I meant to go into more detail about the evening, but as it was filled with girly talks and pacts, I shall refrain from doing so! But I must impress upon you how wonderful an evening it was!

It's so difficult to believe that August is already upon us! It's even harder to believe that senior year is already upon us!! It seems like five seconds ago we were entering as freshman, and we had all of high school ahead of us. Wow. Time really does speed up!! There are 24 days left until school commences, leaving me approximatley eight days to finish each of my summer reading books, write three essays in Spanish, and translate a story from Latin! And field hockey will be starting up soon too! As enjoyable as field hockey is, or should I say starts out to be, it really does cut the summer short!

I have decided several things this summer.
1. My cat is most definitley British.
2. I have a really good life with a lot of good people in it.
3. Helium is really amusing.

Have a good night, my chums! May Baron Munchausen give each and every one of you a good tickling!

Run. On. Sentence. This summer I learned that Katie doesn't know how to use punctuation properly. Or, as you would do it "This summer I....properly!!!!!!" One exclamation mark would do the trick, Katie. Jasus!

I remember a long time ago, I decided that content should matter more than format. Like, I could write one really good paragraph, and it would be well-structured and well-worded and all the punctuation and sexy mamas would be in the right place, but I'd have to take the time to process my writing to that particular point of perfection. On the other, more masculine hand, I could write reams and reams of poorly constructed and hackneyed crap, but actually get all of the ideas that are in my head out on a page.
Leastwise, that's the argument I'd give my teachers when they'd pick on my run-on sentences in grade-school. I thought it was pretty logical though.
