So Long...Farewell...

Seasons Greetings, all. After much contemplation this evening, I've decided that I'm just going to give up the whole blogging thing for a while. How long a "while" is is as much a mystery to me as it is to you my friendies. There is just so much I want to write about, but not in here. There are things that I'd like to discuss, but these things are also things that I would rather not get backtalk or opinions on. I know there would be a lot of controversey, and I wouldn't be able to support myself when it comes to arguing or debating or whatever. I just don't feel like putting up with it. I'm not even saying there would be a lot to put up with. I don't know what I'm talking about anymore. So, for the time being, my dearies, I am just going to resort to writing in another journal I have, where I am free to write about whatever I want without getting grief from anyone besides myself. I'll see you on the flip side, pancakes!! ~:OÞ MOOO!

Thanks!

Well, I had a pretty alright birthday!! Things got uber complicated, though, so we didn't end up going to the mall and decided to hang out at Becca's instead. That was a fun time....I accidentally kicked some Sprite off of her coffee table. Sorry La Becca!

The following morning, I went off with the fockey gals down the Cape for a little tournament thing. I didn't really think it was going to be that great of a time because I wasn't really having fun at the games, but then we went to Mrs. C's house. That was a flipping BLAST! We went to this beach that had a seal colony, which seemed really cool, but a lot of us didn't want to walk the mile and a half to go see them. Now, it was pretty chilly down at that beach. But some of us crazy ones decided to go for a swim. That water was so cold that by the time we got out at the other sand bar thingy, it felt like it was about 85 degrees out. Not to mention the extremely strong rip-tide we had to swim against. It was quite the adventure!! Hahaha.

After the freezing beach, we went back to the house where we took a really warm shower in Mrs. C's outside shower...(in our bathing suit, guys!) Haha, Carolina and I were the last two to get in, so we were standing there in our two piece bathing suits and these boys ride by on bikes. They didn't really notice us at first, but then they swerved around and took a second glance. I felt really humiliated, but Carolina and I were laughing so hard. Hahaha. It was great. After taking a shower, we all goofed around a lot. We sat on the porch and Heidi did awesome things behind a bush so it looked like she was going up and down in an elevator. Oh man, that girl is so funny. Hahhha.

We ate a wholesome dinner of pasta and some other stuff, and then set out on the town to get ice cream and whatnot. We went back, did some team stuff, and then we trespassed to a private beach. *scary music playing* We played a subtle game of Ten Fingers there. Ummm, then we went back again, and I slept outside in a tent with some of the gals. I conked out right away. Haha. The next morning we had this intense scavenger hunt. Not even ten seconds away from the house, I fell off a sidewalk. It was only to be expected.

After the scavenger hunt, I went home, hung out with La Darce, and then we celebrated my birthday. I ate six tacos! Hooray!!!!!!!! I scored a goal in my game yesterday!! Woo! We steamrolled the other team, four-zip!! Go us!!!!!

And now I must be going to do homework. I think that was the most uninteresting post ever written.

Seventeen?

So...last night of being sixteen. I have to admit, while exciting, it is at the same time somewhat depressing. I think this past year has changed my view on a lot of things, people, and life. I guess I just look at certain things in a different perspective than I used to. It is not neccessarily a bad thing, it's just different. This past week I realized how sad growing up is. Call me a fool for dwelling on childhood memories, wistful to return to a time when there were no worries...to care free days filled with nothing but running around barefooted and riding bikes and playing Cops and Robbers with the other kids in the neighborhood. I never thought I would reach this stage in my life...and while feeling so much older, I still feel so young. I can't even begin to explain the things I've been thinking about this past week....it has been pretty much about life in general, and I know you have all had days like that, where you sit for hours, just thinking and reminiscing. Hooray.

On a lighter note...BIRTHDAY!! Yee haw!! I guess whoever wants to go is going to meet at the mall at 6:30. What we are going to do there I have no idea. I challenge anyone to a taco eating contest. I can guarantee that I will kick your butt!

So it is with this, my friends, that I leave you...my last blog of sixteen!!!! Thank you all for being so good to me, and thank you to all of you who have been a part of my last year-you have truly changed me for the better. Thanks for everything, guys! I love you all!

"You two are dating...and if not, then you should be!"

Yesterday was fabulous. I worked, came home, found out the story behind my trash barrel gone missing, hung out with Darcy, and Babs came over with Sean and make-up. Let's go into explicit detail about my yesterday, shall we?

I worked at the store for a few hours, which was cool. I like working there a lot of days, but other times I get annoyed. I had a good day there yesterday, though. :-) I came home, and we had something gross like kilbasa for dinner. During dinner, my father brought up my missing trash barrel. You see, I had this trash bucket, a light blue one. I had it for a few years, and it just sort of disappeared one day two summers ago. My dad has been badgering me about it nonstop for this period of time, and last night during supper the topic came up in discussion, once again.

Scene: My family, sitting around the table, discussing the current state of my room (which, by the way, I am apparently in danger of losing.)

Dad: I still don't understand how you lose a trash bucket!!!!!

Me: For the last time, I DON'T KNOW WHERE IT WENT!!!

Lindsey: I have a confession to make about the trash....

Six heads turn with interest towards her end of the table.

Lindsey: You see, my first year at PCC, I took it for my room. One day I was emptying the trash from my room out of it, and uhh....I kinda accidentally threw it away down the trash chute with everything else.....

Uproarous laughter erupts from the kitchen.

The End.

And that my friends is the story of my long, lost trash barrel. RIP, Trashy, you were a good garbage holder. I knew I didn't lose it!!!! It was Lindsey! And she wouldn't fess up to it!! So my dad has been harassing me about this stupid trash thing for over a year, and the whole time its been burning down in the center of the Earth somewhere. Hahahhahaha.

After that adventure, we picked up Darcy and she came over for a while. We were soon joined by Babs, who brought along lots of makeup. There was quite the fight over that. Hahahaha. Darcy and I colored pictures for each other. She made me a Barbie one. Heheheh. Ummm....and that was pretty much it. The house was in a state of chaos last night because there were so many people, but I loved it. It's so wonderful when everything is "cheery" and crazy like that.

Today, I ventured to Castle Island with my family. It was lovely!! I really do love that place so much. There are so many people to look at that you can keep yourself busy for hours on end. And now here I am...I have an itch on my head.

Woooooooooo!

Ahhh, it is so chilly. I love when the weather starts turning cold. 'Tis such a nice time of year. I got this Weather Bug thing installed into my computer a few days ago. I guess it comes with AIM. Anyways, this thing is so COOL!! I think I might be a meteorologist or something when I get older. Either that or an astronomer. A storm chaser would be pretty groovey too. It is 65.7 degrees right now according to Weather Bug. Hooray!
The first field hockey game is on Tuesday. We're playing home against Brockton. Go us! We'll probably lose, but it's all good. Casabe only moved up two juniors to varsity this year, and the rest of us are "swingers." We play on both teams, apparently. I guess we'll see. Us swingers made up weird names to call each other. I'm Bonnie and Heidi is Connie. I think Tenley is Shirly Ann or something. And I don't really remember what Liz's and Bard's names are. It should be an interesting season. Casabe moved all of the freshman up onto JV with the sophomores and "swingers." I reckon we'll get a lot of playing time, so we made out pretty alright.

I drove myself to work yesterday!! First time in the car alone. And then I drove to Darcy's. Wooo. I think I want a telescope for my birthday. Or a digital camera. Allison wants a telescope as well, so we kinda want to share one. It would be cool to take pictures with a digital camera through the telescope. If that's possible. I think it is. *Eerie music playing* But having a telescope would be so awesome. I want to figure out where all of the constellations are and do other astronomical stuff. Wooo!!!

Umm...I think I owe my dad money for some onion dip. Long live Snoopy. Question of the day, kids: Do you think Snoopy could be Chinese?

I LOVE WEATHER BUG!!!!

Katie Hakatoo*

*Name changed for safety purposes* As many of you may have seen in Katie H's livejournal, we have decided to write "Hero Essays" about one another. Here we go!!!!!

My hero is not Superman. She is not Olympian. And she is not Jesus. She is someone who is constantly making me laugh and will make me feel better no matter what. She is always there to play Chinklink with me late at night and is there for moral support whenever it is needed. And with this, ladies and gentleman, I present to you the one...the only....Katie Hakatoo!!

Katie, unfortunatley for us here in Waterbridge, lives in Mashed Peas. It isn't too far away, but its far enough so that we are not able to see her as often as we would like. Katie has remained extremely strong through difficult periods in her life, and for that she is admired. She is a straight A student, constantly achieving in academics and being the belle of the ball. Even when things are tough for her, she keeps her chin up and looks for the best.

My hero and I have a lot in common, making it very easy for us to talk about a lot of stuff. Even when it is a serious discussion, we always manage to make each other laugh while being soothing at the same time. One of our favorite pasatiempos is Chinklink....an internet game in which we draw Chinese people while people make miserable attempts at guessing what we are REALLY supposed to be drawing. Only we know...because we cheat on AIM. Wonderfully baffling, Katie makes astoundingly hysterical and random comments, leaving tears of laughter running down my cheeks and my stomach getting quite the workout. No matter what the situation, Katie always puts a smile on my face. She is one of the best people I know, and I am extremely fortunate to have a friend as great as her. We also enjoy "Katie Talk," a show hosted by us on my tape recorder, filled with silliness and guest stars, like our very good friend Darcy. The three of us always manage to find insane things to discuss.

Katie, I will never be able to thank you enough for all you have done for me these past two years that I've known you. I cannot put into words how much our friendship means to me, and I hope that we will continue our friendship for a long time. Thank you for always being there to make me smile at the times when I've needed it most. You, Katie Hakatoo, are my hero, and I am extremely lucky to have had the pleasure of meeting you. Gracias para todo.

Happy Half Birthday, Katie H!!!!!!!!!!!
1/2 Birthday= September 15 Real Birthday= March 15

Wow! People sure do suck!

How silly of me!! I left out possibly the most important thing in that last entry! I got my license yesterday!! Weee!

Curse AIM!

While I'm in the midst of attempting to get AIM to work, I figure I'll update this because I have been horrible about doing so! Hmm...so the last few weeks of summer were grand. The Mild Nines hung out a lot, and we went over to Deirdre's many times. One time we had the worst craving for candy ever. So, we begged Deirdre's older brother to get us some. He refused. Well, after calling many people who had cars to purchase us some candy, we finally got some from Ranen. Woo. After hoarding everything down in about five minutes, we remembered that Kevin's favorite Starburst flavor was strawberry. Being the clever children we are, we saved all of the pink wrappers and scattered them across his bed. We left a note saying "Thanks for the candy!! (asshole)" and then Meg kissed it with blue lipstick. Hahahha. I couldn't look at Kevin without laughing after that.

School has commenced, and I think that it is going to be a good year! Marine biology is so cool, and I think that the only class I'm not going to enjoy will be chemistry. I am yet to have it, but I've heard from others that the teacher is an absolutely miserable monster. We'll see, I suppose!!!

Along with school starting comes field hockey. We've been having tryouts all this week, and it is so competitive. There aren't a lot of people playing this year because of all the budget crap and whatnot, but it is kinda nice having a little team. It's funny to see the gigantic teams from other schools that we are scrimmaging. They are MASSIVE!!! Haha. I find it quite humorous.

Ummm...my ma just went to Wal-Mart and then to get us Chinese food. Heheheheh, Katie H. I hope you laughed at that. CHINESE!!! (I hope you laughed at that too!) Rah. I dunno. Man, I just glimpsed at my desktop and realized how truly ugly sloths really are. I love them anyways though.

Well, kids, I'm off. I've got some homework in Marine Biology that needs to be done. My feet smell horrible. That is all.
