Updaaaaaation!
Holy crap, it's July. JULY! I don't know why I find myself so alarmed over this fact. Summer is really only just beginning..well sorta, but I feel as if it should be ending. I think it's just because I've been out of school since mid-May! Nonetheless, I'm thoroughly enjoying the summer.
I'm actually trying to multi-task right now. I have some pictures I'm hoping to upload by the end of this post, from prom and other things that I can't really remember. I guess you'll just see at the end! I'll just let you know there will be a TON of them, so I hope you have an absolutley INSATIABLE desire to look at pictures!
And grand news! As it turns out, I will be able to do my breast cancer swim at Nickerson State Park in August. I am verrrrrrrry happy about this!
I had orientation at URI a few weeks ago. It was exhausting, overwhelming, and unnverving. As Becca put it, orientation was "like PCC without friends." Which is just a very very sad thing. I had to pick my classes. As I'm undeclared, I have very random classes that are quite broad and don't have much to do with one another. I'm in an honours Intro to Engineering class. Yea, I know...what the eff, right? Buttt, I'm in a Spanish 205 class, which I am eagerly anticipating. I've decided that I'm going to double major in Spanish and something else (I haven't figured that part out yet) and possibly minor in Chinese. Hooooray!
Speaking of Spanish, what should be a most definite highlight of the summer is coming up on Lunes. Josh (Ale) has been so kind as to organize a Spanish reunion for our class! I'm so excited, since that was my favourite class. We're dining out at a fabulous restaurant in Boston on Monday evening. I hope it's a real Spanish time. It will be good to see those kids again, and perhaps we can simply WOW the employees with our Spanish. (A big fat HA in my case!)
If I could be one classic monster, I would be Dracula. Everything is sexy when you're a vampire. If I were to be one villain from a Disney movie, I would not be Ursula...because she is purple and odd looking. I would probably be Scar from the Lion King, but its so hard to narrow it down AND OHHHHH MY GOD SOMEONE JUST SENT ME A TEXT MESSAGE AND I'M SCARED BECAUSE MY PHONE GIGGLES LIKE A DEMONIC BEING WHENEVER I RECEIVE A TEXT MESSAGE!! But that's not definite or anything...the thing about my Disney Villain. The text message was verrry definite. It was a nice one. Alarming, but nice!
I must say that this has certainly been a blockbuster summer!! I've seen so many movies, and will probably see many more. I just saw Superman Returns with Mistah Benjamin. It was simply superb! We also saw the Lake House, which did not at all live up to my expectations. But maybe those were too high. Also, Caragh, Ben, and I ventured out to see The Omen one sweltering afternoon. We arrived a tad late, so we just sat in the middle of the theatre somewhere because it was too dark to be fussy. Much to our surprise, we realized a few minutes later that WE WERE THE ONLY THREE PEOPLE IN THE MOVIE THEATRE...IN THE MIDDLE OF A DARK, ABANDONED MOVIE THEATRE SHOWING A MOVIE ABOUT A DEMON CHILD THAT RUNS AROUND!!!!!! Ben kept looking behind us, which was pretty freaky, and I screamed a fair few times. Needless to say, it was a jolly good time!!
Did you hear it through the grapevine Donde estan los ladrones? I'm having a graduation party soon, but I'm not sure when. Oh well. I'm a fan of random spontaneity. Guess what? I got an IPOD! Increeeeeedible!! Guess what else? I am in desperate need for a new job, but am a tad screwed as no one is likely to hire a college bound kid. Hmm... anyways, its 2:32 in the morning, so I'm going to put up the millions upon millions of pictures, and go to bed before I start saying bizarre, funny, but bizarre as hell, things. Goooooooooooood niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight Sydney!
